Promotion at a Con can be tough.  There are seas of people, and a lot of options. Whether you have a booth, or it’s just you going – if you want to get noticed and network here are a couple of tips from a Marketing perspective.Promote as early as possible – many Cosplayers put ‘next Con’ info in their bios, but few have too many pre-posts about going to a Con.  It’s just the weekend of and you see a story with them in a car or arriving, etc.  Get the word out – if you have a website and you circulate – keep that schedule on your website.Networking can be easy – be approachable and approach others – conversation should be easy in Cosplay – or at least it gets easier.  Compliments and photo requests – nothing too pushy, nothing too lengthy – you might see people you recognize – make a point to say hello.  Ask people for their handles and follow them.Wear your brand shamelessly, even if you don’t have a booth.  Not that you need to be a walking billboard, but if you have something you’re proud of, wear it – people will see it.
