I want us to linger for awhile this morning on the accurate meaning of "I am a Christian." Our text includes a wonderful invitation from Jesus Himself to become a Christian. But you won't see the word Christian here. Nor will you see the word believe. Same with born again. Repent isn't here; neither is saved. Jesus didn't use the words grace or faith.
