Listen "Going on a Bear Hunt: Herd faces Petrino bunch looking for signature win"
Episode Synopsis
By - Joshua A. Swanson Another week, and another ranked team comes to the Fargodome looking for a signature win over the FCS's best team. Led by quarterback Jason Shelley, who tops the Missouri Valley Football Conference in total offense per game, Missouri State's high flying offense meets the nation's best defense in Code Green. The Herd's defense has been historically good through six games, allowing an FCS-low five touchdowns, and leads the FCS in scoring defense (7.2 points per game) and total defense (226.5 ypg). Those are the lowest averages for points and yards allowed in NDSU’s 18 seasons in Division I, better than than 11.3 points per game by the 2013 national championship team and the 234.5 ypg by the 2012 national title team. Swany Says the Bison offense is oh so tantalizingly close. If the Herd solves its red zone woes, look out! With everyone talking about the Bears' offense, it's the Bison offense that will shine today! The Herd returns to the friendly confines of the Fargodome in another Top 25 showdown.
