Sheeeesh… is there even a more controversial conversation of the church today?! So so so much hurt wrapped up in that one word, “standards.”I’d guarantee more people have left the church over the topic of standards than doctrine or any other conversation. How many people have not heard the Gospel because we have elevated our standards above the message of the cross? I’m guilty. How many people have been made to think that the key to being close to God is through all the high standards we hold dear? (Galatians 2:16, 21)God has completely crumbled all the things I built to find HIM and only Him, and for that I’m thankful. ❤️The book of Galatians in its’ entirety is addressing the conversation of standards.
