Episode Synopsis

In today's episode I have a special guest joining me to chat about all things matrescence which I am very excited about. The topic of matrescence is so fascinating, and having gone through my own matrescence journey recently becoming a mum I really wanted to delve into this more.  And don't worry if you haven't heard the term matrescence before - we chat all about what exactly it means in today's episode. In this episode I interview the lovely Kirstie Maddocks - Kirstie is a Midwife, Nurse, Doula, Intuitive Motherhood Mentor & Mum herself. Her specialty & passion is supporting Mothers to transition into motherhood with intention, through a variety of supports and programs to allow a woman to feel safe & confident as she unravels and explores motherhood. I have followed Kirstie's work for years, but we connected in real life when I attended a mothers group that she facilitated when I was four months postpartum (which was honestly the best thing!). In this episode we cover exactly what matrescence is and why this transition is so important to know about, how we can prepare for matrescence during pregnancy, and Kirstie also shares her top three strategies for embracing matrescence for mamas who are currently in the thick of postpartum. You can find more about how to work with Kirstie at her website and can also check out her instagram kirstie_maddocks_mama_mentorYou can check out all the info on our Postnatal Midwifery Packages here.
