Listen "A Conversation on Death and Grief (A Pet’s Death)"
Episode Synopsis
Death. It’s something we all have to face, both in our own time and when we witness our loved ones go through it. And depending on the circumstances, losing someone close can be absolutely devastating—like having your heart ripped out of your chest. It can make you question everything: life, God, and the meaning of it all. Losing someone to old age is tough too, but somehow, it feels easier to accept because it’s part of the natural cycle of life. It doesn’t lessen the pain, but at least it offers some sense of closure.Today, I’m sharing my thoughts and emotions as I process the loss of my 20-year-old cat—who was more like a brother to me. And yes, I know, losing a pet isn’t the same as losing a human, but the grief, the questions, and the emotions are real and relatable no matter what. Whether you’re here because you’re currently navigating grief or just trying to prepare for when that time comes, I want you to know this: it’s going to be okay. Hold on to your faith, knowing that you will be reunited with them again one day.
