Listen "Dirty Dishes & Wardrobe Malfunctions"
Episode Synopsis
Ep. 60 There was mold in the dishes, and I kept ripping off my clothes. That's when I knew something was wrong!
Coach Kelly Marie is back and getting real about her mental health journey--the good, the bad, and the ugly -- in order to help others who may be going through similar experiences. Join us on this journey of assessing the warning signs of an oncoming depressive episode and exacerbated Borderline Personality Disorder symptoms.
Kelly uses checklists to monitor her mood and behavior to be able to detect a depressive episode and things weren’t looking too good. After a recent therapy appointment she had the motivation to finally wash her dirty dishes. They had been sitting in the sink so long when she opened them they were moldy!
The next day she got dressed for work and her clothes did look right. She tried on something else and that outfit didn’t quite look right either. She gave it another go and found something else to wear. She looked in the mirror and couldn’t understand why her clothes were betraying her. Frustrated and on the verge of tears, she sat on the side of the bed and realized what was happening. Whenever she is unable to find clothes that “fit” or “look right” after multiple tries, she knows it’s a sign she may be struggling with her mental health.
Join her on this episode as she navigates her disorders and continues to drive in the front seat!
