One of the most annoying terms used by pop culture is the word narcissism. If you watch YouTube videos or Reels, you will think every parent and every ex-spouse is a narcissist, but no one seems to point the finger back at themselves. Why? Because we have a psychoanalytical culture bent on blaming everyone for everything that is wrong with their lives.  But what is it and why are we hyper-focused on narcissists? Narcissism isn't new. In fact, it has been a part of human nature since the time Eve ate from the tree of knowledge. If we are going to talk about it, at least let's learn how to correctly identify it.
