Sometimes, I look back at certain Christmas photos of our family next to the Nativity scene after Christmas mass, and I feel a twinge of sadness, regret, or even bitterness because I know how painful getting that photo was.  Whatever happened surrounding that photo was just hard, and those memories are forever connected to those photos.
