Hi my name is jaiden and I am here with Hailey to talk about her belief in second chances. Here is her story to go along and show why she believes in this.I just turned 15 and decided I needed a job. Things started to turn for the worst and i became not happy with where I worked. Where do you work? I work at beechwood inn I had just started so I didn't talk to anyone there. I wasn't getting much work time either and I had things I needed to pay for. I was starting to feel like I wanted to quit working there.What made you feel this way?I didnt know names so it was hard trying to communicate, nobody was nice to me because I was new, and they were only giving me one day per week with only 2-3 hours per day I had told one of my co workers allison that I might quit. She said she wasn't going to tell anyone what I told her. So I thought nothing of it. After a lot of time thinking of pros and cons,I finally decided that it would be best that I quit. I emailed my manager that I was going to resign. I told her that the following saturday would be my last day. It turns out that she never got that email that I sent. So I waited a couple of days still no response. My other manager Ed pulled me aside a couple days after and asked me if i was going to quit and why.How did it make you feel when he pulled you aside?I was nervous that he was going to yell at me or fire me. I began to explain my concerns on why I wanted to quit and he said he could change those things. I decided to give working at Beechwood a second chance to see if things started to get better. Eventually I started to feel more comfortable with the people around me, I was getting more work time, and I started having enough money to pay for what I needed. My decision to give working at Beechwood a second chance taught me that everyone deserves a second chance. Also like if you fail a class, c the school gives you a second chance to re do that grade with summer school so you are able to graduate on time.How long did it take you to finally send the email and quit working there?After all of the thinking, it took about a month and a half to finally email her.Why do you think your manager didn't see the email?To be honest I think she did see the email. I think she decided to ignore it because she thought it was just a phase and I would decide against it soon. She turned out to be right.This i believe
