One thing that all of us face at one time or another is the temptation to quit. We have an enemy that wants to destroy our lives and families. We are battered at every turn. In Navy Seal training, they have a bell that they want you to ring to give up. They are almost torturing you and you are beaten by the waves. You are made to run for miles. You are cold, you haven’t had proper sleep and they encourage you to ring that bell. To tap out, to call it quits. That’s what satan does to us.
We all stumble and fall at times, but there is an important part of that, probably the MOST important…getting up. It is not easy. Sometimes it is the hardest thing you can do. We have to be able to get up and continue with Jesus.

The Apostle Paul faced many hardships. He was stoned and left for dead, shipwrecked and beaten, some took oaths that they wouldn’t eat until they killed him, he was imprisoned more than once, dragged out of cities and we can only guess some of the things not written but never gave up! He was driven to preach the Gospel and to carry the message of the cross to anyone who would listen.
