It is one thing to give an interpretation to someone’s dream, but to tell them the dream they had is something else entirely!
God is Sovereign- last week we were introduced to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Four of the many captives from Judah brought to Babylon. They are tested and trained for 3 years in the customs, laws, and religion of Babylon. We find them refusing to defile themselves with the king’s food and wine. They take their lives in their hands by requesting to not eat and drink the king’s personal menu. (they trust in God alone) 
God gives them favour with their steward and at the end of the testing, they appear healthier and surpass all their contemporaries tenfold in understanding and wisdom. At this time they are approximately 18-20 years old.
We are looking at Daniel Chapter 2 this week. So far so good for the 4 Jewish lads settling in to their new digs until Nebuchadnezzer had a dream. His dream was troubling and disturbed him greatly. He decides to call all of his magicians, astrologers, sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell him his dream and give the meaning.
