Listen "023: Enduring Love in the Midst of Grief"
Episode Synopsis
Today on Grief + Grace we conclude our love series by discussing I Corinthians 13:7&8 and how it relates to overcoming many of the negative emotions that can accompany grief. When you embark on your grief journey, you will be asked to do things that you may not want to do. In your very core, you can’t imagine loving someone that hurt you so deeply. Maybe your spouse betrayed you and your marriage ended in divorce. How do you overcome betrayal? You do it with love. Or when you put your mother in a nursing facility and because the caregiver didn’t show up on time, your mother slipped and fell and that resulted in her death. That is something you have to endure and bear a pain that you didn’t expect to experience. Or what about getting laid off from the best job you’ve ever had. Why shouldn’t you feel resentment or rejoice in that business going out of business? Or loving God, when you think He has wronged you? Want to connect?
