On this episode, we interview the founding Greening Youth Foundation Board Member, Ruth Kitchen, who tells her story of how she connected with Angelou Ezeilo and began an environmental education program that would go on to teach the next generation of conservation stewards. We discuss the changes in education programming over time, and the importance of why introducing youth to environmental stewardship is necessary for the betterment of the future. Ruth has impacted conservation education on a national level and with her influence on the CLEAN Manual, Mrs. Kitchen has been able to implement fun lasting practices that benefit diverse youth throughout the Southeast, United States and beyond.
