Listen "ThrowForward Thursday 106: NASA shoots a rocket into an asteroid to save the world"

Episode Synopsis

In September 2022, NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft deliberately collided with a small moonlet, Dimorphos more than 7 million miles away from earth. It successfully changed its trajectory, and proved that we can use this approach to deal with future threatening asteroids. It's a marvel of modern science, but it's also a fantastic analogy for what businesses need to be doing with "worst case scenario" thinking. : DART program: https://dart.jhuapl.edu/  Livestream of DART Mission: https://www.youtube.com/live/4RA8Tfa6Sck  Planetary Defense Coordination Office:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetary_Defense_Coordination_Office   ABOUT GRAEME CODRINGTON Speaker, author and expert on the future of work, researching disruptive change and helping leaders and their teams understand and respond to tomorrow's world today.
