You've likely had conversations with others who were going through a hard time and felt at a loss for words regarding what to say in response to their suffering. And the easiest answer you've been able to come up with is, "Have you seen a professional?" It's become an easy way for us to pass the buck when it comes to being there for those struggling, assuming the so-called "experts" can do a better job at listening and supporting than we can. But what if God specifically sent that person to us and gave us a special divine assignment? What if we began to live with a "why not me?" attitude and opened ourselves to the possibility that we can offer more to the hurting than we give ourselves credit for? Today, we're going to be talking about living life with your eyes open - about making room for the possibility that you can do much more for the broken ones along your journey than you think and why it just might change your own life if you welcomed the opportunity to let God use you instead of letting your personal discomfort get in the way.
