Listen "Foundations for change: 7 key ideas"

Episode Synopsis

For this first episode, I lay out 7 core concepts that help my hypnosis clients achieve their desired changes:1) You are not broken! No label or diagnosis can define your capacity, or predict your future. We develop in response to our experiences, and as our circumstances change, we can update our innate responses. 2) You're never too old to change. Our neuroplasticity allows us to change throughout our entire lives.3) Even our "bad" patterns have a positive intention behind them. At the deepest levels, usually as young children, we learn to do what we think we need to do in order to get our needs met.  As we grow and mature in life, we can learn better, healthier ways to meet these needs, without having to shame ourselves for not knowing better, sooner. 4) Negative emotions are just information: we can learn to be comfortable receiving feedback about what is working for us and what is not. We can also use moments of feeling "triggered" as an opportunity to release pent-up emotions from the past that are not helpful in the present. 5) Making changes can be quick and easy, even though we often assume it will be hard and take a long time. 6) Working on improving our sense of self worth is a key foundation to building every area of our lives: relationships, health, career goals, and more. 7) Learning to listen to our own unconscious information, or intuition, is really valuable in the process of change, and in life generally. I'd love to hear your thoughts and questions!
