It’s easy to feel far from God, to maybe feel like He’s disappointed, frustrated, or pulling away because we’ve messed up again. That spiritual anxiety makes us think our relationship with Him is a contract: “If I keep my end, He’ll keep His.” But Hebrews and Jeremiah remind us that God’s covenant isn’t built on our perfection; it’s built on His promise.
