We live in a world where the threat of danger is before us. But thank God for we can hope in His continuous protection. That's the devotion today: Hope in God. Scripture said in 2 Corinthians 1:10, “He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us.” Hope is based upon God, who has proven himself faithful. Like Paul, who testified confidently to God’s deliverance from deadly peril (deadly persecution in context), we can hope always for God’s daily protection. It is difficult to live in constant fear. You can't act normally, and anxious thoughts distract you. This is where hope in God works well. God's deliverance from fear, His daily protection, does not mean the absence of danger but in the midst of it. God said in Isaiah 41:10, “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” How does it affect your daily living if you have hope of God's continuous help and deliverance from evil and danger? Indeed, you will walk carefully and confidently even amidst the bad news around you. Certainly, you will reject fearful thoughts and not allow frightening situations to control you.  God is 100% trustworthy. Hope in Him. You will never be disappointed, for He always keeps His word. As the Psalmist said in 119:14, "You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word." May you hope in God for daily protection for He never fails to keep His Word.Amen.
