We explored two significant Chinese artifacts: the David Vases and the Jade Bi Disk. These items highlight the rich cultural heritage of China and reflect the complex histories of how they came to be part of the British Museum's collection. We've also discussed the British Museum's efforts to shift from a colonial to a decolonial institution. While progress has been made, the journey continues as the museum strives to include more diverse perspectives and address its colonial past.
