This weeks mechanic is death! We go through the history of death in games and how much it has changed or evolved over the years.  From its early beginnings of forcing players to continuously feed quarters into the cabinet as they stare deeply into the black void and watch the neon lights stream across the screen, to being able to develop a deeper understanding of mental illness. Death in games has changed into a strong narrative tool to be used by designers to help weave their wonderful tales for players to enjoy!
