In Episode 72, Billy Donnelly is feeling pretty good and once again finds himself struck by inspiration to create. As a result, he talks about the difference he has found between ideas where he has expectations as to where things might lead or how something might be received and those he is doing simply to please himself and satisfy his own excitement. He also discusses how easy it is to back away from our enthusiasm and find excuses or reasons not to do something, primarily out of fear. However, he really champions finding the time or energy or space to follow through on these things that have us feeling inspired, because they are essentially forms of self-care that feed us mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc. He stresses the importance of finding ways to say yes to ourselves instead of taking the quick route to saying no.
