Listen "S2 E12 Erica Peirson, ND - Functional Medicine for Children with Down Syndrome and Other Special Needs"
Episode Synopsis
In this interview, Dr. Woeller has a conversation with Erica Peirson, ND who is naturopathic physician with years of experience working with children with Down Syndrome, autism, and other special needs conditions. Individuals with Down Syndrome have unique characteristics linked to their genetic condition, but like many other children with special needs they too respond positively to naturopathic principles of health which include diet, nutrient optimization, and removing or reducing the barriers to healing such as environmental toxin exposure. A person’s genetics are only one factor to their potential for optimal health, and Dr. Peirson discusses how she approaches each child with a special needs condition through her functional medicine training.Check Out Dr. Woeller's Websites:Functional Medicine DocTalkIntegrative Medicine Academy Autism Recovery SystemSunrise Medical CenterLab Tests Plus
