Monkey see, Monkey do is a fantastic idiom for choosing your friends, your circle of influence, wisely. Do you know why your mouth spits out some of the diarrhea it does? Do you know why your behavior is wicked? Do you know why you act cocky, irritating, disrespectful, etc.? Do you know why you are generous, loving, helpful? This isn't the only or full reason, but it is an important one. The people you choose to associate with will rub off on you, just as you can on them.
