Listen "Title: Van Gogh: Christ of the Coal Mine (pt 2 of 2)"
Episode Synopsis
esus said, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head” (Matthew 8:19-20; Luke 9:57-58). Like Van Gogh, the true believer must be prepared to relinquish everything. Every follower of Christ is urged to abandon any idol that obstructs their complete devotion to Him. A heart that cherishes Christ will let go of that rival affection, even though it may cause genuine pain and distress. We aspire to have “a dwelling from God, an eternal home in heaven, not constructed by human hands” (2 Corinthians 5:1).Main Text: Matthew 8:19–20; Luke 9:57–58 (ESV)
