Pastor Jeff preached about Moses and his intimate relationship with God on this past Sunday. He emphasized that this closenes gave Moses the credibility to ask God to relent. God was about to destroy the children of Israel after they made a false god of a golden calf. But then Moses prayed a "powerful prayer," reminding God of his promises to his people. Exodus 32:1(NIV) But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God." Lord, he said. "why should your anger burn against your people, who you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?" Are we able to talk to God like that on a regular basis? Do we share that special level of intimacy with Him? This should be our daily aim and prayer. Exodus 33:11 The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Selah
