In the past few years we have be seeing and hearing about a shift in youth ministry. It mainly involves the way churches are thinking about how they carry out their ministry model. There was a time when a youth group night was the place to be on mostly Wednesday nights. And it had everything. Now, that isn’t as much of the case. Churches are now shifting from a Come & See model to a Go & Tell. There might be a youth group night, but the focus is more on equipping students to go. The youth leaders are going to where the students are rather than waiting for them to come into the building. We asked Corey Blockus to sit with us today to share his insights and perspective on this and how his church is moving in this direction.
