Listen "Episode 279: Active Listening"
Episode Synopsis
Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary TimeThe famous expression, "We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak,” resonates well with all three readings this Sunday. Shema Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The word Shema is Hebrew for listen. Having attuned ourselves to God and others via active listening, we are open to receiving God's revelation, further revealing the kingdom of God.
