In the parable of the 10 virgins Christ likened the kingdom of heaven to 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins. The 5 wise were welcomed into the feast, but when the 5 foolish virgins arrived at the door they were turned away with the statement "I know you not", and Joseph enhanced this understanding with his prophetic mantel and giving us back the plain and precious truth of "Ye know me not".

Similarly the Lord has stated through revelation "And your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you treated lightly the things you have received- Which vanity and unbelief have brought the whole church under condemnation" (D&C 84:54-57) The scriptures are filled with examples of people seeking to know the Lord an draw near unto him. That is the desire and goal of this channel, to have each of us know Christ and build upon his sure foundation.
