Listen ""I Choose" - Series Introduction"
Episode Synopsis
The Apostle Paul had the privilege and burden of pastoring a group of new Christians in Corinth — an international hub and metropolis, filled with people of different backgrounds, where idol worship was prominent. God's people there had had their lives changed by Jesus, but they were still learning how to live as "new people" in this diverse culture, that very much opposed the message of the gospel. To help them make sense of how to live, Paul wrote:Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.1 Corinthians 9:24-25What prize do you choose to live for?Over the next few weeks we will look to God's word to help us navigate some of the choices that we face today, as we set our hearts on Christ and eternity.
