2 Kings 4: 1-37  covers three miracles done by Elisha, the successor of Eliyahu/Elijah.  But why is this section from the N'vi'im / Prophets [in Hebrew] read for this week connecting to Parashat Vayera?  
The phrase "vay-eira" is two words meaning "And G-d, The Almighty, was SEEN" and thereby we get the translation "appeared" in Genesis 18:1.  The additional portion, "haftarah" discusses three miracles that are done by The Almighty through the hand of Elisha, whose name by the way means "My G-d is SALVATION" or in other words, my G-d is Yeshua.  Just to be clear, I do not believe we should pray to Yeshua, but rather the Father, HaKadosh, The Almighty, because that's what Yeshua instructed us to do.
BTW, did you know you can prove that Elisha did indeed get a double portion of anointing from Eliyahu?
Elisha does three miracles in this passage alone and commentary which we read in this episodes states he actually does double the miracles documented by the Torah that Eliyahu, his mentor did...why is that important?
