He was a key figure in Brisbane’s first five Grand Final victories, winning premierships in 1992, 1993, 1997 (Super League), 1998, and 2000. At the time of his retirement from Australian rugby league, he held the Broncos’ club record for most career appearances.On the representative stage, Michael played 14 times for Queensland in State of Origin and 13 Tests for Australia, proving himself as a fearless competitor in the toughest arenas.
