Episode Synopsis

We talk to Hector deCordova about his ancestry and his childhood growing up in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan. He shares how he developed an interest in the arts, which led him to attend Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Hector also reflects on living on his own in New York City at an early age. Our conversation covers his time in the Navy and his studies in interior design at Parsons. Eventually, we discuss his journey to the East End, starting on the South Fork and later moving to the North Fork, where he opened his own gallery.
