Today, I’m joined by Reverend Marc Thompson, pastor of Unity Baptist Church in Mattituck. Reverend Thompson grew up in the Bronx, where life was often tough, but through adversity and the support of his family and church community he found his strength and direction. His high school years in Manhattan broadened his outlook, while a love of literature and writing gave him a powerful way to process and express his experiences. Alongside his ministry on the North Fork, he continues to stay connected to the Bronx, supporting young people and helping to guide them through challenges of their own.In our conversation, we’ll explore the moments and mentors that led him toward ministry, what drew him to Unity Baptist, and what it means to carry forward the legacy of a church that has been part of the community since 1931. We’ll also talk about the church’s role in fostering unity and service, the outreach he’s most passionate about, and his vision for the future of Unity Baptist Church.
