It Happened in the Temple - Pt 3 - The Glory Departs - The Temple was always just a building. God’s presence was what made it important. But God’s people thought the building itself was what gave them power. They assumed that because God made His home in Jerusalem, they would always be safe, and didn’t need to repent. Jeremiah and the other prophets tried in vain to help them see that making a mockery of God’s grace has consequences.
