Geeta Ganthi, the Youth Coordinator, and Arya Goel, a Youth Volunteer, from the Carmel Chapter of HSSUS joined us Wednesday morning to talk about the Hindu tradition of Guru Vandana. As Teacher Appreciation Week approaches, it’s a great time to honor and celebrate educators in a traditional Hindu way. The ceremony includes paying homage to teachers and honoring them with rituals and prayers. The guests discussed the importance of educators learning about Hindu culture, and how youth volunteers are making efforts to inculcate educators about it.
