Ephesians 2:20 May 18, 2025 PM.In this message, we explore the doctrine of cessationism or the suspension of particular spiritual gifts. Revelatory and miraculous gifts were foundational and transitional in nature. God gave these gifts to certain individuals in the early church until the doctrinal foundation of the church was established with the death of the last apostle and close of the Protestant Canon. While the Spirit continues to give spiritual gifts for the building up of the church, gifts such as prophecy, speaking in tongues, and healing have been suspended in the present age.
