The story behind what led Stacy to write her newest book: Beautiful Freedom: How the Bible Shapes Your View of Appearance, Food, and Fitness.  What are the ditches you see women falling into when it comes to body image? Let’s talk about apathy and obsession How would you encourage a mom to begin to have the right perspective when it comes to body image? 1 Timothy- bodily training is of some value, but godliness is of value in every way. What was the hardest chapter to write on this topic? How our “food rules” can get in the way of real community and fellowship among believers "Food is a good gift from God. Be wise, but not fearful around food." As we look to raise daughters, how can we be wise in our parenting when it comes to talking about our bodies? “Our girls are watching us when we complain our pants are too tight, whether we are content or discontent with our bodies. Those things rub off on them and then they start to mimic us in those ways. We want to model contentment. Even if instead we are struggling with it, we don’t need to voice those things to our daughters.” “We need to be really mindful with our words. Instead we should comment on people’s character and the godliness we see in other women. I want to call out even more the ways I see God at work in their lives.” Building our daughters up in the ways that God has created them.
