As we began to look at the marriage relationship and the topic of living in submission to one another, we see that Marriage relationships must reflect God’s Purpose in every aspect. In vv. 22-24 we see that 1) THE WIFE’S ROLE IN MARRIAGE IS TO PICTURE THE ORDER OF CREATION. Under this, we see specifically in v. 22 that a) The wife places herself under her husband, because that is where God placed her. Today, we see that in v. 23 b) The marriage hierarchy pictures Christ and the Church, and in v. 24 c) The wife must remember the bigger picture of why she does this.
