Dr. Karenga is also Professor and Chair for the Department of Africana Studies at California State University, Long Beach. Dean Douglas and Dr. Maulana Karenga discuss how Kwanzaa brings a cultural message that speaks to the best of what it means to be African and human in the fullest sense.
