Listen "Impacting the Mission Field through the Marketplace - with Karis Hortin (#88)"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode Jon and Les introduce you to an amazing young entrepreneur named Karis Hortin. As a young girl, Karis was adopted from an orphanage in Ethiopia and grew up with a strong desire to eventually return and serve others in a similar place through some kind of missionary work. However, when she took part in the CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program through her high school, Karis was introduced to the reality that she could make an impact on the mission field through business just as much, if not more, than through what is traditionally thought of as ministry work. During her time in college, Karis launched two different businesses. She is the founder of Socials Made Simple, a company that serves small businesses, churches, and nonprofits by helping them tell their story well through the powerful platforms of social media. We are excited to see what lies ahead for Karis as she is just getting started, but we are certain she will make a significant impact for the kingdom through her ministry of entrepreneurialism.Connect With Karis:WebsiteCall To Action:Download Our Get Started Guide
