The Cine-Files episode featuring Steve Morris, John Rocha and Scott Mantz on "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" concludes with Part 2 of their deep dive. Now that Mr. Spock has rejoined the crew, the Enterprise is finally ready for its close encounter with V'Ger, an enormous and incredibly powerful destructive force that, as it turns out, is actually just looking to join with its creator. That's where the similarities between the first "Star Trek" feature and the classic Season 2 episode "The Changeling" continue, and in ways that are both obvious and subtle.
