John 1:1 "In the beginning was God." God is the creator of all things and therefore He is the ultimate authority over all things. For all of our existence we are held accountable to the authority of God's word. In this world however, we not only answer to God, but also answer to the authorities of which God has ordained.Romans 13:1-2 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."While it is clear that we all are to respect authority on this earth, it is not always a simple task. We have bad bosses, lying politicians, corrupt police and for many the first experience we have of authority, under a parent, can be poor at best.  The simple fact is that being under an authority in this world will not always be a righteous authority. So, how do we respond in these circumstances? Join us as we discuss scripture on authority and the emotional conflicts with authority when it feels like it is "costing us an arm and a leg."
