We live in a culture that bombards us with messages about how we're supposed to look, what we should think and say, how we should act, and who we're supposed to be in order to be accepted and loved.  Self-acceptance and self-love are treated like foreign concepts or new-age, touchy-feely gimmicks.  But it's our natural state to love and accept who we are.  We're not born hating ourselves.  We learn it.  Something outside of us teaches us that we're not worthy unless we meet the never-ending list of things we're supposed to think, feel, do, and be. Embracing Authenticity is about remembering the truth of our "enoughness" and learning to live our lives accordingly.
