Hey dear Hive friends, I wish you a good day and would like to welcome you to my new post! I went for a walk last evening and was lucky to see a relatively intense thunderstorm, and would like to share this moment with you.

I personally like thunderstorms very much and that's why I was of course very happy about this weather phenomenon. It looks slightly artificial or to say it better, artistic! Symbolically, lightning bolts are often presented in coats of arms and are a typical symbol of electricity. Usually thunderstorms and lightning are also a symbol of divine or higher forces.

By the way, thunderstorms are also mythologically rooted and the best known is probably Zeus, who is considered a thunderstorm and weather god in Greek mythology. In ancient Rome it is Jupiter, who is associated with thunderstorms and both deities are usually depicted with a lightning in the hand.

In norse mythology, it is the god Thor who was revered as a weather god and was associated with thunder and lightning. Thor is usually symbolized with a hammer and among the continental Germanic people he was also called donar. Also in numerous other ancient cultures there are different gods that are associated with this weather phenomenon, I find it generally interesting to learn more about mythology from different cultures!
