No matter where we are in life, how long we’ve served the Lord, or how well we know the Bible — temptations still show up in our lives. Jesus Himself was tempted. This is why it’s vital that we know and understand God’s Word while continually drawing near to Him. When we begin to think we are strong and/or smart enough to face temptation on our own, we’ll give in. Temptations are not always obvious, but they are often present. Jesus was tempted, as we are, with things that seemed innocent — yet, He knew…it wasn’t worth it.
