Elijah faced many perils and opposition from an angry king, a drought and 450 false prophets of Baal. In order for Elijah to make it through opposition he had to first learn to trust God in the Cherith valley. A place where he was cutoff from everyone and everything and had to trust God to provide for him in a time of drought. A place where he learned obedience and what faith truly means.
