Episode Synopsis
Maadist was born Jamaad Gould, on March 15th 1991. He is the 9th born of 14 children. After the death of his uncle when he was ten he elected to use writing too vent and he has been writing ever since. He took a brief sabbatical while in college to study music technology but it didn’t last long as after graduation he got right back to it. While in college he became interested in black history, politics, and social activism and began to pay more attention to it. Maadist now infuses his interest of black history, politics, and social activism with his love of sci-fi and fantasy. His focus is writing what is called urban sci-fi which puts a new age and urban spin on classic sci-fi tales. Along with writing he actively organizes and participates in marches, rallies, and meeting to move the culture and his country forward.
Patrice Rivers is a product of Virginia State University where she majored in Mass Communications earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2009. A Suffolk, Virginia resident, she started her writing career at the early age of nine writing creative fiction stories. Then at the age of 15 Patrice took a different approach to writing poetry inspired by a classmate.Poetry since then became her first love. She published her first book of Poetry “A Collection of Gods Word and Motivation” in 2012 followed by her second book of poetry “Lyrical Passion Tears from my Inkwell “ in 2013. An author at heart, Patrice published other genre of books including children books and fiction. Currently she has a total of eight books published and is currently working on more children and non fiction books. Patrice is also the Owner of That Riverz Gurl Brand which consists of five elements: Books, Married To Journalism, Services, Magazine and You Tube Channel. She is also the proud owner of her second magazine Versafi Magazine That is a platform for both men and women in business, entrepreneurship and who are authors of diversity.
