The law of Moses is the law of God, which is good holy & righteous. It is so, because it came from God. Nothing God brings forth is evil, so God's law was not devised by man, and therefore it is good. Israel tainted the law, for they tried to make salvation out of its commandments, instead of following as intended. One could only follow the law as long as they were looking to God and the coming Messiah. In other words, the law defined & exposed sin, and show man that he is totally inadequate to obtain righteousness I his efforts, but show man that he needs to depend on God, which leads to fallen at the feet of God and ask for mercy, grace, & redemption.
