Have you yet to break out the reading glasses or are you still holding out? Eventually we all need to face the music, and so we schedule an appointment with the eye doctor. We sit in the chair and have our vision checked as the optometrist ask us that famous question: “One or two?”This week the disciples sit down, not with the eye doctor, but with Jesus. And as he checks their eyes the diagnosis is bleak. But hopefully they, and we, will leave this encounter seeing better than they did at the beginning.
